Returns and Refunds

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Midlothian Decorating Centre. If for any reason you are not, we offer a 28-day returns policy in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and relevant UK retail regulations.

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:


  • The item must be returned within 28 days of the original purchase or delivery date.

  • The product must be unused, sealed, and in its original packaging with all original tags, labels, and accessories intact.

  • You must provide a valid proof of purchase, such as an invoice, receipt, or order number.

Non-Returnable Items

Please note, we are unable to accept returns for:


  • Products that have been opened, used, or damaged after delivery.

  • Items that are custom-mixed paints, tinted colours, or made-to-order products, unless proven to be faulty.

  • Gift cards or vouchers.

Faulty or Damaged Goods

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible. Faulty products may be eligible for a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with your statutory rights.

How to Return an Item


  1. Contact our team via email or phone to arrange your return.

  2. Ensure the item is securely packaged in its original condition.

  3. Returns can be made in-store or sent by post (postage costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty or incorrect).

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.


  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 working days.

  • Delivery charges are non-refundable unless the item was faulty or incorrect.
